Meet Ms. Chesney Garza

Chesney Garza graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelors of Science in Dance. She began her dance training at the age of two at Carolyn Ehman's Dance Academy studying all genres of dance.  Chesney is a Ball High School Alumni and was a four-year Tornette.  She was Social Officer Vice President, Jr, Lieutenant and Colonel. Throughout her college years, she committed to giving back to her Galveston community.  She coached cheer for Gulf Coast Premier Football League, stage managed at Island ETC (east-end theatre company) and taught dance classes at Carolyn Ehman's Dance Academy.   While at SFA, Chesney was heavily involved in student engagement. Her passion was with Student Activities Association where she was both the Special Events Coordinator and the President of the organization. She received nominations for Student Leader of the Year and The SFA Way Award. She also received the Steve Westbrook award for outstanding leadership in SAA. Once in college, she continued her dance career with the dance department at SFA studying jazz, modern, tap, improvisation, ballet dance history and world dance.  While also taking dance classes she took secondary education classes which allowed her to experience the classrooms of Lufkin ISD and Nacogdoches ISD where she deepened her love for teaching. This will be her second year as director and can't wait for more years to come.

Meet Mrs. Tiffany Vaiani

Hello, my name is Tiffany Vaiani and I started working at Ball High School at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year. I began teaching middle school science in Galveston which was always fun and exciting. I am now the Lead Counselor and the Assistant Tornette Director. I attended Sam Houston State University (Eat 'Em Up Kats) for my undergraduate degree and Our Lady of the Lake University for my graduate degree. I was born and raised in Galveston. I am a BOI, as is my husband and our two sons. I enjoy living here and having our children grow up in a town with so much to offer. I had the privilege of dancing from the age of 3 through high school.  I was a dance officer on my dance team and believe this knowledge has helped me in molding these young dancers into better leaders.  I am passionate about assisting students and providing them with knowledge and opportunity to pursue their dreams. I am proud to work at Ball High School where I lead a team of exceptional counselors and work with an amazing group of young dancers. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns and I will be happy to assist you.
